Mussels Abound in Dreamlight Valley's Mystical Creek

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion introduces a plethora of new ingredients, some more elusive than others. Mussels, a type of seafood described as a surprisingly water-filtering mollusk, can be particularly tricky to locate. Unlike some shellfish, Mussels only appear in specific Storybook Vale biomes. Their unpredictable spawn rate adds to the challenge.

Finding Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley: Spawn Locations

Mussels are found on the ground throughout Mythopia, specifically within these areas:

• The Elysian Fields
• The Fiery Plains
• The Statue's Shadow
• Mount Olympus

While some players report readily finding Mussels in these locations, others experience less success. Spawn rates seem inconsistent, with clusters appearing in specific spots. The image below shows potential spawn locations near trial areas, such as the one near Hades' unlock in the Elysian Fields.

A significant cluster of Mussels can be found behind a hidden bush area in the Elysian Fields during Hades' "A Moth to a Flame" quest (as shown above). Unlocking this area may increase Mussel spawns across Mythopia.

Utilizing Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike other Storybook Vale seafood, Mussels aren't used in crafting. Their primary use is as a cooking ingredient in these recipes:

• Garlic Steam Mussels
• Mussel Risotto
• Steamed Mussels

Mussels also restore 150 energy when consumed, or can be sold for 75 Gold Star Coins at Goofy's Stalls.
