Niantic has revealed the first details for Monster Hunter Now's sixth season, titled "Scarlet Gaze in the Gloam." Launching June 19, 2025, this update introduces exciting new weapons, skills, and challenging encounters.
New Riftborne Monsters Emerge
Season Six introduces Riftborne monsters - creatures transformed by mysterious environmental anomalies. At launch, players will encounter mutated versions of Rathian, Tobi-Kadachi, and Barroth appearing at 8-star difficulty and above.
Hunting Horn Joins the Arsenal
The update debuts the Hunting Horn as a new weapon class. This versatile instrument provides both offensive capabilities and team support:
- Attacks accumulate musical notes
- Specific note sequences trigger powerful melodies
- Effects include stat boosts and Special Gauge acceleration
- Magnificent Trio (SP) ability extends active melodies
Additional Season Six Features
The update brings several significant improvements:
- Style Customization system for grade 8+ weapons
- Two new combat styles per weapon altering attack patterns
- New monster roster including Nargacuga and Bishaten
- Returning creatures like Anjanath and Barioth
