Marvel Rivals Future Seasons Cut Content
Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut
Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified launch, creating a richer and more expansive initial experience.
The season will feature three new maps: the Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, featuring the new Doom Match mode), a Midtown map for Convoy missions, and a mysterious Central Park map, details of which will be revealed later. Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) join the roster at launch, with The Thing and Human Torch slated for the mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.
While the expanded Season 1 content is exciting, the absence of Blade, a previously rumored addition, has disappointed some fans. However, future seasons hold the potential for his inclusion. NetEase Games hasn't detailed how this oversized season will affect future content releases, but it's currently anticipated that two new heroes or villains will be added per subsequent season. The future of Marvel Rivals remains bright, filled with anticipation for what's to come.
