Mai Shiranui Excites in Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 welcomes a new fighter, reigniting player interest! Capcom's hit fighting game, boasting 4.4 million copies sold by December 31st, 2024, has added Mai Shiranui from the Fatal Fury series.

This addition, the third character of Season 2, significantly boosted Street Fighter 6's popularity. Steam's peak concurrent players surged past 63,000 on Mai's release day—a record since May 2024, surpassing previous peaks of 24-27,000.

Access to Mai is granted through the Battle Pass. World Tour mode allows players to cultivate a relationship with Mai, learning her moves before testing them in Battle Hub. A second costume, inspired by her Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves appearance, is also available.

The Battle Hub temporarily features guest character, Professor Woshige, a renowned fighting game developer, playable until March 10th. New Master League ranks and rewards have also been introduced.
