Infinity Nikki 1.5 Controversy: Compensation Offered
Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Controversy: Compensation Offered
In the wake of the tumultuous release of Infinity Nikki's version 1.5, developer Infold Games has stepped forward to offer compensation to players. This article delves into the details of what players can expect to receive and outlines Infold Games' future plans to address the issues.
Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates
Free Diamonds as Compensation
The much-anticipated version 1.5 of Infinity Nikki brought a wave of disappointment due to several unmet promises by Infold Games. On May 18, the developer took to Twitter (X) to address the community's concerns about the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" following the update.
Version 1.5 was plagued with technical issues and bugs across various platforms, some severe enough to make the game unplayable. Additionally, sudden system changes increased the cost of 5-star outfits, requiring 11 pieces instead of the previous 9 or 10, thus raising the number of pulls needed to complete an outfit to 220. This made the process significantly more expensive and time-consuming for players.
The update also introduced a new dye system, which players found confusing and cumbersome due to the need to unlock color palettes for each clothing item. Moreover, the Threads of Reunion storyline was removed as the associated outfit remains in development. Infold Games admitted, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."
In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond *120 and Energy Crystal *1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond *960 and Energy Crystal *8." Despite this gesture, the studio has yet to outline a clear plan to address the underlying issues, prompting a flurry of concerns from the community about the pity system, dye system, and other bugs.
Delayed Version 1.6
Due to the issues with version 1.5, Infold Games has decided to extend its duration to allow more time for fixes. Consequently, version 1.6 has been delayed until June 12, 2025, impacting the in-game event schedule. The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, originally slated for May 20, will now launch with version 1.6. Infold Games stated, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.
More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way
Infold Games is actively working on additional adjustments to address the myriad issues brought forth by version 1.5. They noted, "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates."
To enhance communication with the player base, Infold Games is launching the Miraland Round Table initiative. This platform will allow players to directly share their concerns and feedback with the developers. Players can participate by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.
Infold Games expressed their "guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They are committed to making the game "shine brighter than ever." Infinity Nikki is available on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC. For the latest updates on the game, be sure to check out our article below!
