FromSoftware Addresses Elden Ring Nightreign Matchmaking Issues
FromSoftware has recognized the matchmaking problems in Elden Ring Nightreign during its launch weekend and offered recommendations to players experiencing difficulties.
On May 31, FromSoftware posted a tweet to assist players having trouble connecting with others while starting an expedition in the multiplayer-focused Elden Ring offshoot. If you encounter this issue, the developer recommends restarting the matchmaking process. While this might not be a comprehensive fix, it confirms that the team is actively aware of the situation. The message concluded with, "Thank you for your patience and understanding."
In a follow-up post, FromSoftware highlighted specific problems on PlayStation systems. Players using PS4 or PS5 who face matchmaking disruptions should verify their NAT type, as the studio noted that "NAT type 3 could interfere with connectivity on PSN."
To check your NAT type, follow these steps: Home > Settings > Network > Connection Status > Check Connection Status

Just yesterday, producer Yasuhiro Kitao addressed the community through social media, celebrating Elden Ring Nightreign’s successful debut with two million copies sold within the first day.
Kitao remarked, "Nightreign introduces distinctive elements in its design, setting it apart in many respects from our recent projects. We are deeply grateful for the boldness shown by players diving into this new universe.
