Dungeonborne Server Shutdown Imminent

The creators of the PvPvE action game, Dungeonborne—a title inspired by the popular Dark and Darker—have announced the game's closure and the subsequent shutdown of its servers. The project, less than a year old, ultimately failed to maintain a substantial player base, succumbing to low player activity and a lack of substantial updates.

While Dungeonborne's Steam page remains accessible via a direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. While official reasons for the shutdown haven't been publicly stated, the extremely low player count is clearly a significant factor. Since late 2024, concurrent player numbers rarely exceeded 200, dwindling to a mere 10-15 players in recent days.

Dungeonborne's servers will permanently cease operation on May 28th, bringing a definitive end to the game's short lifespan. What initially promised a compelling experience for fans of the genre will now fade into gaming history, its potential unrealized.
