Donkey Kong Hits Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has unveiled a brand-new 3D platforming action title exclusively for the Switch 2, titled Donkey Kong Bananza, scheduled for release on July 17, 2025 with a price of $69.99.
During the Nintendo Direct, the company presented the first gameplay trailer. Here is the official description:
Prepare for Donkey Kong Bananza, an all-new 3D platforming action-adventure designed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Crash, bash, and climb through virtually everything in DK’s way, and pull off pieces of the terrain to swing and throw, redefining exploration. The more you demolish with powerful punches, the more areas you unlock to explore. Break through this chaotic, surprising, and banana-filled adventure when Donkey Kong Bananza arrives on the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 17.
The Nintendo Switch 2 itself is set to launch on June 5, 2025, with a price of $449.99.

Additionally, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is priced at $499.99 in the United States, which includes the console and a download code for Mario Kart World, available starting June 5. The standalone version of Mario Kart World costs $79.99, representing a $10 increase over Nintendo's previous highest-priced Switch game.
