Clair Obscur Studio Confirms It's Working On an Official Esquie Plushie, Warns Against Potential Scams

Esquie, the endearing giant companion from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has quickly become a fan favorite and an unofficial mascot of the game. His lovable personality and unique role in the journey have sparked high demand for Esquie-themed merchandise—especially a plush version of the beloved character.

However, Sandfall Interactive, the studio behind the game, has issued a warning about counterfeit Esquie plushies being sold online. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the official Expedition 33 account alerted fans to the rise of “suspicious” websites offering unofficial Esquie plush products.

“To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed,” the studio emphasized. “Many of them are using AI-generated artwork to advertise, and we strongly recommend against purchasing from these sources. They could be scams.”

While urging caution, Sandfall also shared some exciting news—official Esquie plushies are currently in development. The team is working hard to bring a genuine, high-quality product to fans as soon as possible. In the meantime, they’ve asked fans to remain patient and avoid falling victim to fake merch sellers.

For those unfamiliar with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Esquie is introduced in Act 1 as a gentle giant who becomes both a loyal companion and a key mode of overworld transportation. His soft, huggable appearance and comforting presence evoke a similar charm to Baymax from Big Hero 6, making a plush version of him a natural hit among fans.

A quick search on Google already reveals several unauthorized sites advertising Esquie plushes, along with community threads discussing where to buy one. However, if you're looking for the authentic plush experience from Sandfall and Kepler Interactive, it’s worth holding out just a little longer.
