Catch Mastery Event: First Bird Pokémon Lands in Pokémon GO!

If you're diving into the world of Pokémon GO, get ready for a thrilling lineup of events, including the highly anticipated Catch Mastery event. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event promises to add even more excitement to your gameplay.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, offering a fantastic opportunity to encounter this unique creature. During the event, you'll see wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the exciting possibility of encountering their Shiny versions.

Archen will also be available through Field Research rewards, with an enhanced chance of finding its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event features some enticing XP bonuses: you'll earn double XP for landing Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.

Additionally, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can tackle up to 10 sets of tasks, leading to a total of 40 Archen encounters. Don't miss out on this chance to master your catching skills and boost your collection!

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Get ready for another exciting event with the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, Absol will gain a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently have access to this move, boasting 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You can also snag up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your daily total to six.
