The Biggest Games Coming in 2025

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025! Another trip around the sun successfully completed. Let's look ahead at the biggest game releases of the year.

January 2025

Tecmo Koei's Dynasty Warriors: Origins returns on January 17th, the first mainline entry since 2018. Expect current-gen visuals and the signature "DIE, NASTY WARRIORS!" gameplay. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC.

If you prefer long-range eliminations, Sniper Elite: Resistance arrives on January 30th. This latest installment refines the formula of shooting Nazis...in the junk. Available on all Xboxes and PlayStations, plus PC.

February 2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 continues Henry of Skalitz's adventures on February 11th. Experience immersive 14th-century Bohemia with deep RPG mechanics and a massive open world. Available on current-gen consoles and PC.

On the same day, Sid Meier's Civilization VII launches. Need we say more? Explore, Expand, Exploit... and conquer. Available on nearly every platform, including Linux (mobile version to follow).

February 14th brings Assassin's Creed Shadows, set in feudal Japan. Play as both ninja and samurai with dual protagonists. Available on current-gen and PC.

Feeling lonely on Valentine's Day? Date Everything! (February 14th) is a sandbox dating simulator with 100+ fully voiced inanimate objects. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Obsidian's Avowed (February 18th) brings a first-person perspective to the Pillars of Eternity universe. Expect action combat and a more focused experience compared to Skyrim. Available on Xbox Series consoles and PC.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (February 21st) sees Goro Majima embracing piracy after amnesia. Available on Xboxes, PlayStations, and PC.

Finally, Monster Hunter Wilds (February 28th) aims to refine the core experience and introduce new features while attracting new players. Available on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC.

March 2025

Hazelight's Split Fiction (March 6th) is a co-op adventure with bizarre sci-fi and fantasy elements. One copy allows two players to play online together. Available on PC and current-gen consoles.

Tales of the Shire (March 25th) is a cozy life sim focusing on ordinary hobbit life. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Atomfall (March 27th) is a survival game inspired by Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., set in a post-apocalyptic English countryside. Available on all platforms except Switch.

The First Berserker: Khazan (March 27th), an action RPG based on the Dungeon Fighter Online universe, arrives on Xboxes, PlayStations, and PC.

inZOI (March 28th), a potential Sims killer, is a visually stunning life sim launching on PC, with console versions planned later.

April 2025

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (April 24th) is the first new mainline entry in the series this century. Available on PlayStations, Xbox Series, and PC.
