After extensive testing and numerous trials, we've successfully unlocked all three Arata stages in GHOUL://RE. While these stages don't demand high gaming skills or extensive exploration, they do require substantial Reputation grinding. Prepare for a marathon, not a sprint!

Arata Stage 1 in GHOUL://RE

To kickstart your journey, amass 25,000 Reputation points and reach the pinnacle rank of Special Investigator within the C.C.G. organization. Head to the Commission of Counter Ghoul (C.C.G. center) and locate Damiro D. Mado, the NPC with headphones on the second floor. He'll initiate the Arata Stage 1 quest, tasking you to gather 10 one-eyed fragments and 10 Kokuja fragments.

The quickest method to acquire these fragments is by defeating bosses like Eto and Tatara, shown below, and subsequently crafting them at the designated table. To check your Reputation, consult Saiyo Natsuki, the NPC in a black suit and tie. Once you've collected all 20 fragments, convert them into five one-eyed Kokuja fragments at the crafting station. Return to Damiro, and he'll direct you to speak with "him". This cryptic clue puzzled the GHOUL://RE community until it was revealed that "he" is Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, hiding in plain sight.

Arata Stage 2 in GHOUL://RE

To unlock Arata stages 2 and 3, you must play in permadeath mode to acquire the legendary armor. It's advisable to team up with reliable and strong allies, as solo missions can be quite challenging.

Once you've accumulated 100,000 Reputation points, navigate to the elevator in the C.C.G. building and head to the Laboratory. There, approach Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, the man with a scalpel in a black suit, standing by the door.

Hand over the five one-eyed Kokuja fragments along with your 100,000 Reputation, and you'll complete Stage 2, securing the Arata-Proto armor. Despite rumors suggesting a lower Reputation threshold, our tests confirm that 100,000 Reputation points are necessary for guaranteed success.

Remember, for Arata Stages 2 and 3, you must remain in PD servers. Failing to do so will result in a repeated response from Black Reaper, preventing you from completing Arata Stage 2 or advancing to Stage 3.

Arata Stage 3 in GHOUL://RE

The final Arata Stage involves another encounter with Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, more fragments, and a significant amount of cash. Like Stage 2, ensure you're in PD mode to progress.

Gather a single one-eyed Kakuja fragment and save 500,000 Yen. Visit Black Reaper in the C.C.G. building, pay him, and he'll teleport you to face Kishou Arima boss.

To conquer this boss, you'll need at least average gaming skills, involving plenty of jumping, dodging, blocking, and delivering high damage from above. While challenging, Kishou Arima isn't invincible, and with practice, even average players can emerge victorious.

Be prepared for potential deaths, as each retry requires another one-eyed Kakuja fragment and an additional 500,000 Yen. Stock up on resources before the battle.

Upon defeating Kishou Arima, you'll unlock Stage 3 Arata-Proto armor. However, be cautious; while Arata provides incredible buffs and protection, it also drains your hunger at a rapid rate.

The Arata armor is powerful but comes with a significant drawback: it drains your hunger at an alarming rate. You cannot eat while wearing Arata at any stage, so you must remove it to replenish your hunger levels.

The benefits, however, are substantial. The armor ensures you can't be ragdolled, a crucial advantage in all game scenarios.

Additionally, Arata enhances your equipment, making your character increasingly "tanky" and capable of withstanding and dealing massive damage. If the armor depletes your hunger during a fight, it will start consuming your health bar. Be vigilant during boss fights, and consider removing the armor if it becomes too risky.

Reputation Grinding

The most efficient way to gather the required Reputation is by battling bosses in PD mode. While it's riskier, each boss defeated in PD yields 1,500 Reputation, significantly more than the 500 outside PD. Unfortunately, killing Ghouls only grants 100 Reputation per kill, making them less optimal for Arata quests.
