Unlocking Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren: A Guide to Obtaining This Stunning World of Warcraft Mount
Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, a magnificent stormcrow mount, awaits those willing to brave the challenges of Siren Isle. While not the first raven mount in WoW, its connection to the Siren Isle and the dynamic Storm events makes it a truly unique acquisition. This guide will walk you through the process of obtaining this coveted flying mount within the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion.
Acquiring the Runekeys:
The key to obtaining Thrayir lies in collecting five Runekeys, each requiring a different approach:
-
Whirling Runekey: This key drops from Ksvir the Forgotten, a rare spawn found in the southernmost chamber of the Forgotten Vault during a Storm event.
-
Torrential Runekey: Collect seven Torrential Fragments from any enemy on Siren Isle while a Storm is active.
-
Thunderous Runekey: Gather five Thunderous Fragments from chests scattered across Siren Isle. These chests can be found regardless of the Storm phase.
-
Cyclonic Runekey: This key is obtained through fishing anywhere on Siren Isle during a Storm, or as a possible drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire.
-
Turbulent Runekey: Locate three Turbulent Fragments in specific locations:
- Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
- Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole, where a ghost cowers.
- Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave, received as a tribute from a ghost.
The Final Ritual:
Once all five Runekeys are in your possession, return to the Forgotten Vault on Siren Isle, but only during the Seafury Tempest phase. Entering during other phases will not initiate the ritual. Proceed to the eastern chamber of the vault.
There, you'll find Thrayir's body on a platform surrounded by five runestones. Place each corresponding Runekey into its designated slot. This will trigger the quest, "Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren." Complete the quest to claim your magnificent new mount!
