Using Your App and Reader with the Same Sensor

When using the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, alarms can be set to notify you either on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your smartphone, but not simultaneously on both devices. To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor using the app. Conversely, to receive alarms on the reader, initiate the sensor with the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader. Note that once started with the reader, you can still scan the sensor using your phone.

It's important to remember that the app and the reader do not exchange data with each other. To ensure you have comprehensive data for your reports, scan your sensor every 8 hours with the device you are using. You can upload and view data from all your devices on LibreView.com.
