Android Authority rapporte que Google Play développe une fonctionnalité pour rationaliser l'installation des applications. Cet ajout potentiel ouvrirait automatiquement les applications nouvellement téléchargées, éliminant ainsi le besoin de rechercher l'icône. L'application se lancerait immédiatement après un téléchargement réussi.

Cette fonctionnalité « App Auto Open », découverte lors d'un démontage de l'APK du Play Store version 41.4.19, n'est toujours pas confirmée. Aucune date de sortie officielle n'a été annoncée. Surtout, cela serait entièrement facultatif, permettant aux utilisateurs d’activer ou de désactiver le lancement automatique selon leurs préférences.

Une fois le téléchargement terminé, une bannière de notification apparaîtra en haut de votre écran pendant environ 5 secondes. Votre téléphone peut également vibrer ou sonner (en fonction de vos paramètres), garantissant que vous ne manquerez pas la notification, même si vous êtes momentanément distrait.
