Pocket Gamer a récemment découvert Fantasma de Dynabytes, un jeu d'aventure GPS multijoueur en réalité augmentée (AR) convaincant à la Gamescom Latam. Ce titre engageant, pas vraiment facile à prononcer rapidement, a récemment reçu une mise à jour importante.

La mise à jour introduit la prise en charge des langues japonaise, coréenne, malaise et portugaise – un ajout particulièrement pertinent compte tenu du dévoilement du jeu au Brésil. Une nouvelle extension est prévue, avec une prise en charge des langues allemande, italienne et espagnole prévue pour les mois à venir.

Mais qu’est-ce que Fantasma exactement ? Dans ce jeu, les joueurs chassent et combattent des créatures espiègles qui ravagent le monde. Le gameplay unique consiste à déployer des champs électromagnétiques portables (au lieu d'appâts traditionnels) pour attirer ces entités paranormales.

Une fois qu'un Fantasma est attiré, la bataille commence en réalité augmentée. Les joueurs manœuvrent leur téléphone, visent et touchent l'écran pour tirer des projectiles sur les créatures, réduisant ainsi leur santé jusqu'à ce qu'elles puissent être capturées dans des bouteilles spéciales.

Le gameplay basé sur la localisation garantit une expérience dynamique. Les fantasmes apparaissent en fonction de votre emplacement dans le monde réel, encourageant l'exploration. Les capteurs peuvent élargir votre rayon de recherche, attirant des créatures de plus loin. Et pour une approche plus collaborative, les joueurs peuvent faire équipe avec d'autres pour une expérience de jeu social.
