A Kindling Forest : l'aventure à défilement latéral d'un développeur solo

Dennis Berndtsson, professeur de lycée et développeur de jeux solo, présente sa dernière création : A Kindling Forest. Ce n’est pas une action-aventure ordinaire ; il s'agit d'un jeu de course automatique à défilement latéral et rapide, doté de mécanismes de jeu inventifs. Préparez-vous pour un voyage rempli de forêts, de flèches et de beaucoup de lave enflammée !

Le récit du jeu

Un ancien démon déchaîne le chaos sur le monde, incitant les esprits de la forêt à réveiller un archer oublié depuis longtemps. Armé d'un arc et de flèches, l'archer se lance dans une quête périlleuse pour vaincre le démon. Mais A Kindling Forest n'est pas une question de batailles simples ; c'est une course incessante contre la montre et les éléments.

Mécaniques de jeu

Un mouvement constant est la clé. L'écran défile en continu, présentant un barrage d'obstacles pointus et imprévisibles. Les joueurs doivent habilement esquiver ou abattre ces dangers à l'aide de leurs flèches, qui sont essentiellement l'aide des esprits de la forêt. Manquer de flèches signifie la fin du jeu, ce qui rend chaque tir crucial.

Dans cinq niveaux de plus en plus difficiles, les joueurs navigueront sur des terrains dangereux, sautant par-dessus les araignées, se téléportant à travers des ruines antiques, planant au-dessus des nuages et évitant des rivières de lave en fusion. Des points de contrôle stratégiquement placés fournissent des bouées de sauvetage, permettant aux joueurs de redémarrer et d'affiner leur approche après des revers.

Un système de contrôle unique à double écran améliore le défi. Une moitié de l'écran contrôle le saut, tandis que l'autre gère les tirs de flèches. Un timing précis est essentiel, aidé par un bref effet de ralenti pendant la visée.
