Star Wars Outlaws recibe más malas noticias de ventas

Star Wars Outlaws Underforms, superados por Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Outlaws de Ubisoft, el primer título del mundo abierto de la franquicia, enfrenta desafíos significativos. A pesar de las revisiones inicialmente positivas sobre su lanzamiento de agosto de 2024, la recepción de los jugadores se ha agriado, particularmente con respecto a su mecánica de combate y sigilo. Estas críticas, aunque se abordan en actualizaciones posteriores, no han aumentado significativamente las ventas.

En consecuencia, Outlaws ha quedado por debajo de las proyecciones de ventas de Ubisoft, lo que lleva a una caída notable en el precio de las acciones de la compañía poco después del lanzamiento del juego. Este bajo rendimiento ha alimentado la especulación sobre el futuro del editor e incluso las discusiones de una posible privatización.

Además de las preocupaciones de Ubisoft, los informes recientes indican que Star Wars Outlaws está siendo superado por Star Wars Jedi: Survivor de 2023. Si bien las cifras de ventas precisas siguen siendo no reveladas, Jedi: Survivor, una secuela aclamada por la crítica de un título exitoso, ha superado claramente a los forajidos. En Europa, Outlaws solo logró una clasificación del 47º lugar en los juegos más vendidos de 2024.

Varios factores probablemente contribuyen a esta disparidad. Jedi: Survivor se benefició de la popularidad del predecesor establecido y las críticas abrumadoramente positivas. Además, una actualización de PS4 y Xbox One el año pasado reavivó el interés en el juego.

En contraste, Outlaws ha luchado para ganar tracción a pesar de las actualizaciones continuas y el DLC planeado. El primer DLC, "Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card", con Lando Calrissian, lanzado en noviembre de 2024.
