¡Pokémon Go suena en 2025 con un evento de Año Nuevo! Niantic comienza el nuevo año con festividades, incluido el evento de Año Nuevo 2025, seguido de Fidough Fetch y el Día de la Comunidad Sprigatito. Enero también trae Eggs-pedition Access, un evento pago de un mes ($ 4,99) que ofrece numerosos beneficios para los entrenadores Pokémon. Esto incluye una mayor capacidad de obsequios (hasta 40 obsequios), límites diarios de apertura de obsequios (hasta 50) y una mayor adquisición de obsequios de Poképaradas (150).

Si bien el evento de Año Nuevo de este año (30 de diciembre de 2024, 10:00 a. m. - 1 de enero de 2025, 8:00 p. m.) carece de nuevos Pokémon, variaciones Shiny o disfraces, todavía hay mucha diversión para celebrar. Espere mayores tarifas de Shiny para Jigglypuff salvaje (con cinta), Hoothoot (atuendo de Año Nuevo) y Wurmple (sombrero de fiesta). Las bonificaciones incluyen 2025 XP por lanzamientos excelentes y fuegos artificiales festivos en el juego.

Las incursiones cuentan con un Pikachu con sombrero de copo de nieve (Nivel uno) y Raticate y Wobbuffet con sombreros de fiesta (Nivel tres), todos con probabilidades de Shiny mejoradas. Las tareas de investigación de campo y las exhibiciones de Poképaradas también ofrecerán encuentros temáticos de Pokémon.
