La última actualización de Diablo Immortal, el parche 3.2: Shattered Sanctuary, concluye el capítulo inaugural del juego con un enfrentamiento épico contra el Señor del Terror, Diablo. Después de una búsqueda de dos años para recuperar fragmentos de Worldstone, los jugadores finalmente se enfrentan a Diablo, quien ha transformado Sanctuary en un reino de pesadilla.

Esta batalla tan esperada presenta caras familiares del universo de Diablo, incluido el regreso triunfal de Tyrael, y presenta la espada legendaria, El'druin.
