Once upon Eine Zeit lang schien DCs Batman alle zwei Jahre ein neues Spiel zu bekommen. Der Dunkle Ritter war in aller Munde und sein Auftritt unter Rocksteadys Banner trug wohl dazu bei, eine neue Ära der Superheldenspiele einzuläuten, die auch heute noch anhält.

In den letzten Jahren ist Batman jedoch in den Hintergrund gerückt in der Videospielabteilung. Der Caped Crusader hat seit The Enemy Within aus dem Jahr 2017 keinen richtigen eigenständigen Auftritt mehr erhalten, und es liegen keine Neuigkeiten vor, die darauf hindeuten, dass sich dies in absehbarer Zeit ändern wird. Comic-Fans können sich zwar auf viele kommende Superhelden-Titel freuen, aber wenn jemand Bruce Waynes Kutte tragen möchte, muss er in die Vergangenheit blicken, um die besten Batman-Spiele zu finden.
