Popular Persian Card Game Enjoyed Across the Middle East
Pasur, also known as Chahar Barg (Persian: پاسور), is a traditional Persian fishing card game. Widely played throughout Iran, it shares similarities with Italian classics like Cassino and Scopa, while bearing even closer resemblance to Egypt's Bastra. This engaging game goes by several names: Chahâr Barg (referring to its 4-card play style), Haft Khâj (seven clubs), Haft Va Chahâr, or Yâzdah – where the number 11 holds special significance as players aim to collect seven clubs across four-card hands.
