Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Announce New Legacy of Kain Projects: Encyclopedia and TTRPG

Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics has partnered with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker to expand the Legacy of Kain universe with two new projects.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The first project, The Book of Nosgoth, is a comprehensive encyclopedia detailing the world of Nosgoth. Written by Nic Reuben (Rock Paper Shotgun), it will cover locations, factions, characters, and a detailed timeline of the Kain and Raziel conflict. The book will also feature behind-the-scenes content including concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a deep dive into the creation of all five Legacy of Kain games.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A Tabletop RPG

The second project is Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, a tabletop role-playing game set during the Sarafan Order's war against vampires. Using the MÖRK BORG ruleset, the game offers a mechanics-light, high-stakes experience where players take on the roles of Sarafan warrior priests. Players will choose from six classes, utilize unique weapons and spells, encounter a bestiary of creatures, and explore the landscape of Nosgoth, embarking on vampire hunts and delving into the spectral realm.
