Ayushman is an official mobile app launched by the Government of India, designed to enhance the accessibility of healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). This flagship scheme aims to provide cashless secondary and tertiary care treatment from empanelled public and private hospitals, offering comprehensive coverage to over 10 crore poor and vulnerable beneficiary families across the nation.

The National Health Authority (NHA) serves as the apex body responsible for implementing the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, ensuring that the scheme operates smoothly and efficiently to meet its objectives. With the introduction of the Ayushman app, beneficiaries now have the convenience of creating their "Ayushman card" directly through the app, which entitles them to free treatment up to INR 5 Lakhs.
